I wish I came across this blog before I decided to rent to a tenant who has a voucher. These vouchers are illegal. They requested that I give the tenant a lease for 1 year. The lease clearly states that rent is due in full on the first of the month, and if its not paid on the first of the month then there will be late fees. The rent is NEVER paid in full on the 1st of the month. This was never explained to me. I didn’t know what I was getting into and it seems impossible to get out. No landlord should ever accept a tenant with a voucher. They are just asking for trouble. Howie
